Spring Equinox Flowering Meditation

Make sure you are of sound mind and safe before carrying out this meditation.
Sit in a comfortable position with both feet on the floor
Close your eyes (if applicable)
Take three comfortable breaths
As mother nature has started to bloom once more, following her respite from the harshness of the elements, so too it is time for us to clear out the cobwebs, dust ourselves down and give our chakras a spring clean.
Time to open our hearts and energy centres to allow our vibration to be in synch with our true nature, for as above, so below.
During this special equinox time of equilibrium and balance we will now draw upon this energy to allow each of our chakras to bloom and return to a state of equilibrium once more. Ready for new beginnings with optimistic hearts and minds, trusting in the divine nature that all events happen in the right place at the right time and for the right reasons.
Rest in this awareness for a while
Take three comfortable breaths
Imagine a red light travelling up from below to your base chakra.
Visualise this red light transforming and blossoming into a red tulip.
As the tulip opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to security at this time, be it emotional, physical, financial, material.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine an orange light travelling up from below to your sacral chakra.
Visualise this orange light transforming and blossoming into an orange rose bud.
As the rose opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to wishes, desires, dreams and creativity at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a yellow light travelling up from below to your solar plexus chakra.
Visualise this yellow light transforming and blossoming into a yellow daffodil.
As the daff opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to personal expression, inner power and any information that needs to be digested and processed at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a pink light travelling up from below to your heart chakra.
Visualise this pink light transforming and blossoming into a pink carnation.
As the carnation opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to self love at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a green light travelling down from above through to your heart chakra.
Visualise this green light transforming and blossoming into a green chrysanthemum.
As the chrysanthemum opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to love at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a sky blue light travelling down from above through to your throat chakra.
Visualise this sky blue light transforming and blossoming into a light blue anemone.
As the anemone opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to speaking in a loving way at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine an indigo light travelling down from above through to your third eye chakra.
Visualise this indigo light transforming and blossoming into a bluebell. As the bluebell opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to vision at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a lilac light travelling down from above through to your crown chakra.
Visualise this lilac light transforming and blossoming into a crocus.
As the crocus opens up, ask what is needed for your highest good with regards to knowing at this time.
Give thanks to the universe
Imagine a pillar of pure white light travelling down from above through your crown chakra, down through your third eye chakra, down through your throat chakra, heart chakra, solar plexus chakra, sacral chakra, base chakra, down into the ground below.
Visualise this white light transforming and blossoming into a sea of snowdrops purifying and cleansing the ground beneath you and surrounding you, giving you a clean and clear fresh start.
Visualise the pillar of white light connecting you to both heaven and earth, as above so below.
Give thanks to the universe
Rest in this awareness for a while
Take three comfortable breaths
As we gently bring our awareness back to the room and back to our bodies, take three comfortable breaths.
Very very gently ease the neck to one side, back to centre, other side, back to centre, down to the chest, back to centre, leaning back comfortably and back to centre. Wiggle fingers and toes. Rub your hands together if you wish and gently wash over the face.
Give thanks to the universe and open your eyes
