Acceptance

I am free to be me

For all to see

At any given time or place

To show my true face

So.

What holds me back?

What do I lack?

Pride? Humility?

Faith? Serenity?

No

None of those

It's acceptance

And that has to start with me

For it is then that I am truly free

To love

To be

To see

In all my true colours

The bright and murky

Embracing all facets

Trusting all is valued and needed

In the scheme of things grand

That I am yet to understand

For that only truly happens

When I leave this land

I get a few glimpses when I'm engrossed

Doing the dishes or eating some toast

And then back to earth I must return

To learn the lessons I came here to learn

YOLO baby!

May our world be filled with love and light

May our days and nights shine ever bright
